Setup
Deal 10 cards to each player There is no trump suit
Taking tricks
Follow the suit led if you can Otherwise discard any card The highest card of the suit led wins and its player leads again Cards rank from highest to lowest as 3, 2, ace, king, knight, jack, 7, 6, 5, 4
Scoring
Each ace scores 1 penalty point Threes, twos and court cards each score one third Round each total down except for the player taking the last trick who receives the remaining points to make 11 in total If one player takes every trick each opponent receives 11 points and that player receives zero
Ending the game
In this variant a player reaching 31 points is eliminated Continue until only one player remains Local variants may change the threshold and the rules for taking every trick

40 cards - Coins, cups, swords and clubs
Ten cards per suit - ace, 2 to 7, jack, knight and king Bergamasche or Trentine cards with the same suits also work
